Discover What Type of Blogger You Are!

How many type of bloggers are online today? Around 350 million? That figure only represents blogs on Tumblr, as of July 2017. WordPress says that around 410 million people view about 23 billion blog pages per month, just using the WordPress platform. 👩🏻‍💻

One of the best ways to grow your blog is to have an understanding of what your audience wants to see PLUS your unique passions and purpose. But that can often be very hard to understand. What if you’re just starting out? Or you simply need some direction? 😵‍💫

From my experience, there are 4 types of bloggers:

1. The Minimalist
2. The Informant
3. The Lifestyle Niche
4. The Do-it-all

“The Minimalist”

This is the type of blogger that focused on the simple things in life. They’re also known as The Simplifier. Usually, their focus is on how to live for less and ways you can Marie Kondo your apartment, your car, your life and so on. 🕊

“The Informant”

Blogs under this category are as the name suggests. They’re the journalist part of the blogging community and serve their purpose of informing us of what’s happening in the world. This type of blogger personality is who you need to follow if you want to stay up-to-date with all the latest events – from politics to celebrity gossip! 😬

“The Lifestyle Niche”

Admittedly, this is the most common type of blogger (and the type of blogger I am). A lifestyle niche blogger can be anything from book blogger to travel blogger to video games blogger. They focus on a specific niche or devote their blog on general “lifestyle” content. 😎

Lifestyle bloggers tend to have creative personalities and enjoy creating interactive blogs full of photos, art work and so on! 👩🏻‍🎨🖼🖌

“The Do-it-all”

This is a fun type of blogger, who is basically an evolved lifestyle blogger. Do-it-all bloggers are those who have built a whole empire based on their blog. They’re also known as The Entrepreneur. You can notice them straight way because this type of blogger will have an active YouTube channel with collabs, a viral TikTok account, they will post daily on Insta with brand deals AND they will have their base of it all i.e. their blog.

In my personal opinion, this is the type of blogger you need to aspire to be if you would like to make money out of blogging. 🙌🏽💸
