My 7 Favourite TV Series This September

It’s common knowledge that I spend most of my days binge-watching TV shows, finding new movies and reading books. 🙃

However, most of my favourite TV shows have sadly come to an end – see Good Girls– and the remaining ones haulted production because of our friend Covid-19. Therefore, I’ve been mostly re-watching my favourite classics, like Sex and The City, until something new came out.

But, lo and behold, production has started on many new shows and existing TV shows have finally released their new seasons! 🙌🏽

So, without further ado, here are my favourite TV shows you can’t miss this September and the new releases later this autumn 2021. 🍿

1. Only Murders In The Building 🕵🏻‍♀️

“Three strangers share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one.

When a grisly death occurs inside their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, the trio suspects murder and employs their precise knowledge of true crime to investigate the truth. Perhaps even more explosive are the lies they tell one another.

Soon, the endangered trio comes to realize a killer might be living among them as they race to decipher the mounting clues before it’s too late.”

New episode every Tuesday on Hulu.

3. Chesapeake Shores (season 5) 🏞

“High-powered career woman Abby O’Brien has made it out of her hometown of Chesapeake Shores and into the big city — New York. When the divorced mother of twins takes a trip home, she is confronted with people from her past – including high school sweetheart Trace, uncompromising father Mick and esteemed grandmother Nell.

It is this look into her past, combined with a realization that her career is restricting her ability to be a hands-on mother to her daughters, that leads Abby to consider making a permanent move back to Chesapeake Shores, which she does.”

New episode every Sunday on Hallmark and every Monday on Netflix.

4. Riverdale (season 5)👨🏻‍💻

“Archie, Betty, Jughead and Veronica tackle being teenagers in a town that is rife with sinister happenings and blood-thirsty criminals.”

New episode every Wednesday on the CW and every Thursday on Netflix.

5. Dear White People (Vol 4) 👦🏿🎙

“Based on the acclaimed film of the same name, this Netflix-original series follows a group of students of color at Winchester University, a predominantly white Ivy League college.

The students are faced with a landscape of cultural bias, social injustice, misguided activism and slippery politics. Through an absurdist lens, the series uses irony, self-deprecation, brutal honesty and humor to highlight issues that still plague today’s”post-racial” society.”

All 10 episodes available on Netflix as of September 22nd.

6. You (season 3) 👁

“What would you do for love? For a brilliant male bookstore manager who crosses paths with an aspiring female writer, this question is put to the test.

A charming yet awkward crush becomes something even more sinister when the writer becomes the manager’s obsession. Using social media and the internet, he uses every tool at his disposal to become close to her, even going so far as to remove any obstacle -including people- that stands in his way of getting to her.”

Season 3 coming on Netflix in October 15th.

7. Gossip Girl Reboot 👄📲

“Eight years after the original website went dark, a new generation of New York private school teenagers are introduced to the social surveillance of Gossip Girl.“

New episode every Thursday on HBO Max.
